About The Workshop:
GOARN Tier 1.5 Workshop aims to prepare potential deployees with the relevant knowledge and skills for outbreak deployment. This workshop aims to highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary and cohesive team who can work effectively and efficiently to respond to public health emergencies. You will be trained by experienced GOARN personnel with deployment experiences to prepare you for future deployment in the event of an outbreak response that require international assistance.
The training objectives are:
- To learn practical skills and knowledge required by the global outbreak mission of GOARN/WHO
- To learn the latest information regarding management of outbreak and responses towards health emergencies related to infectious diseases
- To build up the capacity of communication, team building, and problem solving, through group work and discussion among the participants

Eligibility and Qualifications:
Description | Requirements |
Education | - Undergraduate degree(s) in one or more of the following fields is required: Laboratory, Epidemiology, Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related fields of infectious diseases
- A Master's or higher degree in one or more of the fields listed above is preferred

Working Experience
| - More than five years of professional working experience in the relevant fields, such as infectious diseases and infection control, is required
|
Desired Experience
| - Experience in outbreak response within the last five years in the country or overseas
- Trainee/ex-trainee of the Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP)
|
Skills | - Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a diverse setting
|
Languages | - English proficiency (ability to communicate in academic and professional settings) is required
|
Willingness for the Deployment | - Participants of the workshop must be willing to be deployed in international missions through GOARN/WHO
|
